I can't agree more with you. I also think it's iconic because Kay didn't participate...the naive housewife who walked into a world she knew nothing about. I agree. that the word "iconic," is overused and downright misused these days, but in this instance the OP got it right. The Taboo (1980) orgy is iconic in many ways. It is very much of its time with the full display of pubic hair and natural bodies (no breast or ass implants).
